Take personalization to the next level

We’re excited to announce three major improvements to our ShootProof integration. With new customizations and automations, you can make every client feel like your only client.

Pssst…make sure your ShootProof account is integrated with your Táve account. Go to Settings › Integrations and choose ShootProof in the drop-down menu. You’ll hop into ShootProof with your login credentials and then grant Táve permissions.

Put a face to a name

Táve is the most customizable and robust photography studio management software available, but it can feel text-heavy. That’s why we worked with the ShootProof team to build visual, personalized updates. Now when you pull ShootProof galleries into Táve, you’ll see your clients’ faces alongside their names.

Connecting ShootProof galleries to Táve jobs is simple. Here’s how:

  • First, go to the job overview and find the ‘Galleries’ widget.
  • Then hit the ‘Link Gallery’ button to browse or search your ShootProof galleries.
  • You can also create a new gallery by hitting the ‘Create New’ button.
  • You’ll be prompted to say which Táve event you’re linking the gallery to and indicate any Táve contact you’d like to set as the ‘Linked Contact’ in ShootProof.
  • If that linked contact doesn’t exist in ShootProof, we’ll create it for you!

Find everything in one place

After you create a gallery for your clients, you can access it with fewer clicks! Quickly see gallery status, expiration date, and number of photos and orders. Add those data columns to any of your jobs lists for a better overview.

Personalize client communications

Composing emails is tedious. Using Táve’s powerful tokens, you can craft personalized automated emails that are easy to set up and schedule. Now that your ShootProof gallery data is in Táve, elevate your email templates with gallery tokens. Since each gallery is linked to a specific Táve event, you can use any event type tokens to access gallery data.

How about a token to bring the gallery cover image into the Tave email – like you can on Shootproof emails?

    Just a thought

This isn’t so much a request as it is a requirement for me. This should have been implemented already, but it’s really … REALLY no sweat to work-around. Once a gallery is linked, we’re spoiled by Táve’s “tokens” and thus need one that accesses the Gallery’s cached image on Táve’s “tave.io” servers. The automatically re-sized 600×400 will do just fine for email deliveries, and the data already exists at:

      https://files.tave.io/*linked-shootproof-gallery-cover-photo-randomly-generated-image-hash-uuid*/-/scale_crop/600×400/-

      … SO … Adam Hillier … you COULD (technically, though I haven’t tried yet)…

From within Táve’s root view for your Job in question » right-click on Gallery’s “Cover Image” that you see » “Copy Image Location” (URL) » paste that URL into your email.

If you want to automate that email entirely using a token, like the rest of us also do (love you Táve, really) … this is the job for Táve:

Create the token to the aforementioned “tave.io” location, allowing us access to said “ShootProof Cover Image” that is actually already stored on your servers MAKING THIS A FAR BETTER CHOICE THAN LINKING DIRECTLY TO SHOOTPROOF because: SPF / DKIM / Spam filter reasons.

Please and thank yooouu 🙂 <3

I would love this as well. It’s a small step but it’s one that does add several minutes to the process of getting an email out, so that would be awesome.

I am sure this is great for those that also use ShootProof but perhaps some improvements to simple functions like emails that don’t always get marked as spam and workflow that actually works as workflow would be useful? I know you just sold out to ShootProofs and so the suits who spend the money want to start integrating the two products to help cross selling oportunities but what about some more focus on basic functionality first?

We’re committed to listening to you, whether you’re ShootProof users or not. One of the reasons we felt confident working so closely with the team at ShootProof is their commitment to choice – they believe business owners are free to run their business in the way that’s best for them.

Your feedback and ideas over the years helped us build Táve. We have a long way to go, but are confident that the resources we can add now, with the help of ShootProof’s backing, will go a long way to push development forward. We’ve sent out surveys to help collect your ideas and present them in a cohesive way. If you haven’t seen the survey, let us know. We want your voice to be heard.

Alex Knight— even I’ve seen a decent amount of people mention this concern in the Facebook group, so I wrote up a whole novel of information on my custom DNS / SPF / DKIM / spam filtering / iOT implementation … then fell victim to the age old “I shouldn’t have written this on my phone where it’s too eas” *gone forever instantly”

Luckily— my original gmail setup / integration with Táve was based on this AWESOME (and updated) article by Nicole. She’s a superhero I swear. #NotSponsored

      https://help.tave.com/en/articles/345710-how-to-avoid-being-marked-as-spam-by-setting-up-spf

The article does most of the work for you.

After (that’s important, add Táve’s SPF records first) you complete those steps, you can add layers using information from this Google article:

Hey Michael, we don’t have any concrete plans for that in Táve. I’d love to hear more about your use case if you want to shoot us over a message.

Perhaps I missed this in previous announcements, but what about those of use who don’t use shoot proof… is there any incentive for moving from our current providers? For example I have a couple year contract with Pixieset.

Hi Julianne! You’ll definitely want to reach out to ShootProof to hear about what deals, if any, for switching to them!

We love them though and think it’s totally worth it!
